Summer is approaching, but before we close down and enjoy the break, Carte Blanche is doing a mini-tour with 14 stops in the Bergen area over two days with two different projects.

Flekker for the little ones

Since the spring of 2020, Carte Blanche has participated in Flekker(tr.: Spots), an outdoor performance that was created by dance artist and choreographer Yaniv Cohen in response to the lockdown due to the corona pandemic.

In June, kindergartens in Trondheim, Kristiansand, Oslo and Bergen were visited by colorful spots. In Bergen Carte Blanche plays the last Flekker on Friday 25 June.

The reactions from a young kindergarten audience are something we will take with us in our hearts going forward!

Øy for the older crowd

Øy by Ole Martin Meland ends the nursing home tour tomorrow Friday 25 June. We have been lucky to have been blessed with good weather, and an audience that does not usually receive contemporary dance as part of their culture diet. The reception has been very good, and to quote a resident’s comment about the performance, it has been “loud and clear”.

We hope to continue to spread joy and wonder in the future!
