The nomination text states «Choreographer Frédérick Gravel’s collaboration with Carte Blanche resulted in one of the year’s most dynamic performances. The dancers explore individuality and unity, and the need and shame of being seen. ”

In First Person by Daniel Mariblanca, which Carte Blanche has co-produced, is also nominated for the award.
