STAVANGER: WORKSHOP with Adrian Bartczak
On Tuesday, September 24, Carte Blanche, RAS—Regional Center for Contemporary Dance, and Tou Scene invite you to a drop-in workshop with Carte Blanche dancer Adrian Bartczak.
Together with participants, Adrian will explore movement material for the performance RETRO KATT by Tori Wrånes.
In RETRO KATT, Wrånes and the dancers in Carte Blanche have worked with techniques to find a common dance language. The workshop will start with a warm-up and then explore the different tasks and methods that laid the foundation for RETRO KATT.
The workshop at Tou Stage is open to all experienced dancers.
Adrian Bartczak (b. 1988) is a movement artist, teacher, and choreographer. His education comes from various workshops and coaching. Since 2011, he has taught and choreographed in the Polish dance collective KIJO. He has also collaborated with Chorea Theater since 2012. Since August 2016, he has been employed as a dancer in Carte Blanche.
He has studied under Krzyszfor Skolimowski, Witold Jurewicz, Ray Chung, Christophe Jeannot, and Jozef Frucek. Working as a freelancer since 2008, Adrian has collaborated with Michał Ratajski, Tomasz Rodowicz, Rob Hayden, Sarah Shelton Mann, Rosana Gamson, Minako Seki, Roberto Olivan, Jacek Owczarek.
RETRO KATT will be shown at Stavanger Concert Hall on Tuesday, September 24 at 19:00.
