Unchained Melody: Families welcome
Dance and movement are a universal language that can be experienced across age, background, and experience. We therefore invite the whole family to a specially adapted family performance of Unchained Melody by Mette Ingvartsen on 30 May, as part of the Bergen International Festival.
Familiy performance
For several years, Carte Blanche’s family performances have received warm responses from audiences. Children’s reactions to what happens on stage are warmly welcomed, and there is room to move around a little – or to come and go if needed.
In Unchained Melody, Mette Ingvartsen uses love songs from different eras as a musical anchor for the choreography.
The movement follows the logic of water: ripples spread between the dancers, undercurrents draw them in new directions or into a swirl before calm returns and the surface settles.
Unchained Melody is a performance in which song, moods, and movement flow into one another like waves on the sea.
During the Bergen International Festival, there will also be six evening performances and one afternoon performance. You can read more about these and find tickets here.
