Carte Blanche dancer Aslak Aune Nygård has been nominated for the Heddaprisen 2025 in the category of Best Stage Performance – Dance for his role in the production HOW ROMANTIC. The nomination was announced at Nationaltheatret on May 14, 2025.

In the jury’s statement, they highlight Nygård’s performance as follows:

“In an intense, physically and rhythmically precise choreography, the dancer contributes with a gentle and playful presence. With sharp precision and accessibility, he brings the human element to a hard-hitting performance.”

Artistic Director Annabelle Bonnéry says, “We are delighted to receive this wonderful news and sincerely thank the Jury for this nomination.

First, congratulations to Aslak! His extraordinary talent, dedication, and artistic sensibility have left a lasting mark on this creation. His craft and performativity, both on stage and throughout the creative process, brought an energy that elevated the work. We are incredibly proud of him and grateful for his inspiring contribution.

We also wish to celebrate the entire group of dancers, whose collective strength and generosity made this piece truly shine. Each individual brought their own unique presence, and together they formed a powerful, diverse, and deeply moving ensemble.”
