Annabelle Bonnéry, Artistic Director of Carte Blanche, has been appointed the new Director of Dance at tanzmainz, Staatstheater Mainz – starting in the 2027/28 season. We at Carte Blanche warmly congratulate her on this prestigious appointment.

At the same time, we are pleased that Annabelle will continue in her current role as Artistic Director of Carte Blanche until the opening of Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus in Bergen in 2027. We are proud of Annabelle’s significant contributions to Carte Blanche – and grateful for the dedication she has shown over the years. We look forward to celebrating the opening of Sentralbadet Scenekunsthus with her in 2027, and when the time comes, we wish her all the best in her new role at tanzmainz.

The board of Carte Blanche has begun the process of finding her successor as Artistic Director of the company. Before Annabelle hands over the baton to a future Artistic Director, she will program four new productions – taking the company all the way to the summer of 2027.

In the autumn, we will be able to share the first two of them – featuring both Norwegian and international artists. With thought-provoking themes and strong artistic signatures, these productions will ensure that the coming two seasons offer exciting dance experiences with Carte Blanche in Bergen, across Norway, and abroad.
