Autumn 2025: On Stage in Norway and Across Europe

This autumn, Carte Blanche embarks on tour with three distinct and powerful performances.

Eszter Salamon’s MONUMENT 0.10: The Living Monument opens the season with performances in Italy and France in September, as part of Festival Oriente Occidente in Rovereto and the Biennale de la Danse de Lyon in Villeurbanne. With its vivid stillness and slowed movements, the piece explores what monuments can hold – of memory, desire, and shared space.

Jan Martens’ CANCEL BERTHA continues its journey after its world premiere in Bergen earlier this year. This autumn, the performance travels to Stavanger, Les Écuries at the Biennale de Charleroi Danse in Belgium, and Dansens Hus in Oslo – before heading on to Bora Bora in Aarhus this November. A tightly composed and playful work, Cancel Bertha invites audiences into a world of rhythm, silence, and unexpected turns.

Katerina Andreou’s HOW ROMANTIC will be performed in Trondheim and Hamar in October, before returning to Bergen for a special showing on 7 November. Inspired by 1930s dance marathons, the performance pushes both dancers and audiences into a raw and relentless physical journey.

This autumn, Carte Blanche also presents contact improvisation workshops and family workshops in Bergen. Tickets for these events – as well as for HOW ROMANTIC on 7 November – will be available in August.

We look forward to a season of new encounters, revisits and movement across borders. Stay tuned!
