Caroline Eckly

Caroline Eckly was born in Paris in 1977. She graduated from the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, and started her professional career as a ballet dancer with Ballet du Capitole de Toulouse under the direction of Nanette Glushak.

She rapidly turned to contemporary dance and worked as a freelancer in France and Germany for few years with, among others, Blanca Li. She worked at the National Theatre in Nuremberg, Germany between 2002 and 2008 where she danced for various choreographers such as Jorma Elo, Jo Kanamori, Rui Horta, Tero Saarinen, Rodolfo Leoni and Russel Maliphant.

She is member of the performance company Spreafico Eckly, which was initiated in 2011. There, she works as producer, performer, choreographer, assistant and lighting designer – according to the needs of each project.
