HOW ROMANTIC nominated for the Critics’ Award for Dance 2024–2025

We are delighted to share that Carte Blanche has been nominated for the Critics’ Award for Dance 2024–2025 for the performance of HOW ROMANTIC by Katerina Andreou.

The production premiered on 6 March at Studio Bergen, and since then it has left a lasting impression on both audiences and critics with its blend of raw physical power, intense endurance, and poetic resonance.

We are also pleased that Ole Martin Meland has been nominated for choreography, concept and idea behind Jeg brakk. Carte Blanche is a proud co-producer of the performance. Meland has been a central part of Carte Blanche for many years, and alongside his work as a dancer in the company he has created several choreographic works, including Øy in 2020.

Congratulations also to Mathias Stoltenberg, nominated for Vesenet. Many will remember him from numerous Carte Blanche productions over the years, and we are thrilled that he now receives this nomination as both choreographer and performer. In September, Stoltenberg will once again appear on stage with Carte Blanche at the Dance Biennale in Lyon in september with MONUMENT 0.10: The Living Monument.

The Critics’ Awards will be presented at Litteraturhuset in Oslo on 24 September. We congratulate all the nominees and look forward to celebrating dance together.
