Caroline Eckly is starting her new role within the company as a Rehearsal Director in August 2024.

As our rehearsal director, Eckly will be responsible for leading the work with the company’s dancers and acting as the connector between guest artists and the organization as a whole. The Rehearsal Director is the artistic deputy for the Artistic Director and plays an important role within Carte Blanche’s management.

Caroline has extremely valuable professional experience and an extensive knowledge of both our company and the dance scene in Norway which will be a great asset for her new role as rehearsal director. Her dedication to her work has always been outstanding and we are delighted to welcome her to this new position. – Artistic Director Annabelle Bonnéry

Eckly has been a dancer with the company since 2008 and has since been a central figure in all of Carte Blanche’s productions. Her final premiere as a dancer for Carte Blanche was the recent Hedda-nominated performance RETRO CAT by Tori Wrånes.

I am very happy to keep working for an organization that is very dear to me and to become the next rehearsal director in Carte Blanche. It is exciting to keep contributing to the upcoming artistic processes in a new way, having the engaging mission to understand the guest artists’s vision and support the dancers and facilitate their work, both as a collective and as individuals. – Caroline Eckly
