LANDSCAPING

Shot near Bergen, Landscaping is a multi-screen video installation by Eszter Salamon, developed with Carte Blanche – The Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance. The work immerses us in a world where humans and nature co-exist differently.
Landscaping is a short film and multi-screen video installation by artist Eszter Salamon. Filmed in the Bergen region, the work lets local landscapes become part of a larger story about endangered ecosystems. It brings forth figures that seem to emerge from our collective memory, opening up a new relationship between humans and landscapes.
Landscaping builds on the performance MONUMENT 0.10: The Living Monument (2022), created in collaboration with Carte Blanche. The production is a collaboration between Carte Blanche – The Norwegian National Company of Contemporary Dance, Folk Film, and Studio ES. Dancers from Carte Blanche appear in the work, which will have its world premiere at the Lyon Dance Biennale (Biennale de la danse de Lyon), in collaboration with Centre Pompidou, in September 2025.
